The SK Children Foundation is a non-profit organisation (NGO) registered under the Indian Trust Act of 1882 that works to provide free and high-quality education to impoverished children throughout the year. We at SKCF believe that everyone, regardless of caste, creed, or gender, has the right to education. We organise a variety of activities for the kids, such as picnics, exercise courses, meditation workshops, guitar lessons, and so on, with their overall development as a top focus. We hold numerous fundraisers as well as periodic cloth donation, stationary, and ration drives to help collect and distribute resources, which has benefited over 1 lac people to date.
We have two rounds in the selection process:
- Round 1- Questionnaire: Our selection process begins with an initial candidate screening, which we do through a comprehensive review of the application form filled by the applicant (Google form; available on our website). The application form gives us a job-performance-related synopsis of applicants’ life, skills, opinions, and accomplishments. Candidate shortlisted through Round 1 heads to Round 2.
- Round 2- Personal Interview: This is the final round where the candidate faces the judging panel. We want to see the willingness to serve the cause. Selected candidates become proud members of the SKCF family who are welcomed with an orientation ceremony.
You will be serving for four months, during which time you will be given weekly tasks that will count towards your weekly attendance. In addition, depending on the needs of your domain, you will perform several auxiliary duties. Every volunteer is asked to pitch in and help raise finances and awareness. You will receive a certificate of appreciation and/or a letter of recommendation upon successful completion of your internship (if your work exceeds our expectations).
Anyone is eligible to apply provided that they possess the necessary domain skills.
If you want to contribute to the cause, you can apply for an internship at SKCF at any time. Throughout the year, our application forms are available on our website. Interested applicants can apply directly through the website for any programme they are interested in participating in.
We run recruiting drives on a regular basis, and only the shortlisted candidates are notified. You can follow us on social media for relevant information on our programmes and recruitment campaigns.
As part of the internship period, each volunteer serves for four months. However, if you demonstrate exceptional abilities, you may be allowed an extension.
We might offer a monthly stipend based on your performance during the internship period. The organisation shall decide on the same.
